"Pupptetolio" Santa Monica Puppet and Magic Center
Steve Meltzer is a master puppeteer who brings life and song to his cast of amazing characters. We saw Puppetolio on a lazy Wednesday afternoon and we were blown away. The show is full of humor, singing and magic. It is a great show for everyone and the music is great. Fred is a silly puppet that sings the wrong words to songs and was our favorite. We laughed about his antics all day after the show. We went home with the CD and it has been a car favorite ever since. The show lasts about an hour and is great for preschool aged kids.
outside the 40 seat theatre, Steve has a museum that houses of 400 puppets from many eras including a great big full body puppet. He also has a workshop and guides tours of the museum after the show.
The theatre is located on 2nd St. in Santa Monica near the Farmer's Market. If you go to the Wednesday show, you can arrive early to shop at the Farmer's Market before the show! If you are going to Santa Monica with your kids, this is a great place to visit!
This is also a great place for school field trips and Steve does special shows for Birthdays! Call for more information.
